FRESH UPDATES

SYNAPSE 2K19 WELCOMES YOU!

What does the word synapse mean?
Allow me to set the scene
The Greeks came up with Syn (meaning together)
And Haptein (that's-to clasp each other)
Scientifically though it's the gap that transmits
  impulses umpteen!

Neuro-ophthalmology is a subject that's first rate
Isn't it amazing the way neurons communicate?
From crying to laughing
and reading to writing
It's the brain and its trillion syanpse that
  rule-no debate!

Altered impulses travelling to and from the brain
can however cause one immense visual strain
that's when three branches of medical science
come together in a holy alliance
I'm talking about the Ophthalmology-Neurology-
 Radiology domain!

The major challenge for our generation
Is to beat the rapid rate of axonal degeneration
Pale discs, nystagmus or visual field loss
Are enough to make one quite cross
the need of the hour is neuronal regeneration!

Here then is a platform to think things through To discuss and debate ideas - both old and new To share and imbibe scientific knowledge That no doubt will take place in this august college
